The 2025 Rich Text Editing Developer Survey is now live! We invite you to share your insights on what’s working, frustrating, and critical in your development workflows.
📅 The survey is open until August 5, 2025
⏱️ Takes about 10 minutes to complete
📢 Then? Share it!
And this is a milestone year! It’s year 5 of the annual Rich Text Editing Developer Survey, the questionnaire that digs into how rich text editors (RTEs) evolve across frameworks, teams, and changing tech, all from your perspective.
Last year you shared invaluable insights with us that were published in the State of Rich Text Editors 2024 report. We learned so much about what you value in a rich text editor, from features to frameworks. RTEs aren’t just side features-70% of developers consider rich text editors critical to their apps. An RTE is core infrastructure in content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management systems (CRM), ecommerce platforms, and more. More than half of companies now rely on third-party RTEs.
What’s your experience with rich text editors look like? Your opinions matter to us, and we want to know about them. Your feedback helps us evolve TinyMCE into the editor component you want and need.
What to expect
The survey takes just 10 minutes and runs through August 5th. Your responses determine where RTEs are heading, what features matter most, what your users are demanding, and how rich text editing can improve. And we’ve thrown in a bonus: the first 500 survey respondents get a $25 Amazon e-gift card (for use with Amazon US) for their valuable time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Take the survey and build the future of rich text editing
We'll share the survey report in October 2025, offering insights and trends around buying vs. building, integrating AI, supporting collaboration, and more.
