# TinyMCE AI Integration Options

TinyMCE AI can be integrated with applications through two methods:

- **[**Plugin Configuration**](../tinymceai/)** — Integrate TinyMCE AI features directly into the TinyMCE editor interface out of the box. Works with the Tiny Cloud CDN or a self-hosted TinyMCE editor. From TinyMCE 8.7.0, the plugin can be installed from the tinymce-premium NPM package or as an addon .zip. The plugin connects to either the hosted Tiny Cloud AI service or a self-hosted AI service, with JWT authentication in both cases.
- **[**AI service**](../tinymceai-api-overview/)** — Use the AI service API to build custom integrations and workflows. Suitable for server-side processing, custom UI implementations, and advanced use cases. Start with the API Quick Start guide.
