Best methods to access support from Tiny

How-to Use TinyMCE


Things don’t always go as expected, and you know what - that’s ok! The Tiny Team expects the unexpected to arise, which is why in this article I am going to outline the best methods for accessing support from TinyMCE.

Depending on the type of user you are i.e. open-source, or paid user, this will let you know how you can get the support you need, fast.  

Open-source users

The first destination we recommend is Tiny Blueprint and our documentation. If it is a fairly common use-case or problem you are encountering the chances are we have written about it before. 

If you can’t find the answers you are looking for in either location, our online community can also provide help and support for more specific troubleshooting problems.  If you need general assistance, then we recommend you search or post on our Stack Overflow

In this space, there are a plethora of discussions, with answers provided by both our own team and other developers who use TinyMCE. You can even ask your own questions, just make sure it’s tagged tinymce. Our Customer Success team also regularly chime in to provide answers, but, it is not guaranteed we will be able to get back to you in all cases. 

You can also make suggestions or log bugs over on our GitHub. It is also a great place to log any feature requests or flags of what you would love to see in a future open-source release. All you have to do is create a new issue on the TinyMCE project on GitHub.

Last but not least, within the first 14 days of signing up for a Tiny cloud account, you have access to ticketed support from us, and access to all our premium features for TinyMCE – so use them while you can!

Paid users  

For those using the cloud essential or the cloud professional, we first recommend checking out Blueprint, our documentation, or Stack Overflow for minor issues. For more complex problems, you have the benefit of ticketed support with up to two tickets per month, which you can access here. Once lodged, our support team will be in contact with you. 

If you’re on a custom TinyMCE plan, you also have access to our support team which of course comes with unlimited support and dedicated SLA’s. All you need to do is to make a support ticket here.

Any other options?

Sometimes, people are just looking for commercial licensing free from LGPL restrictions plus additional support for when they need it. If this is something your team could benefit from, then we suggest talking to our sales team who can create a customized option that suits your situation.
